Customer cases Study
I’m interested in purchasing 300 umbrellas to start with. I know this is a lower quantity. For me this is the start of a long lasting partnership to hopefully buy higher quantities in the future. I do understand that the price for 300 umbrellas will be higher, that is ok.
To start with I would like to talk about the quality of the umbrellas. For me that is the most important part. I’m willing to pay for premium quality.
I will be in China from Monday 21st of April until Sunday 27th of April. So I would like to see a sample based on my needs. Of course I’m willing to pay for the creation / shipping of the sample. It can either be shown at the Canton Fair, shipping to my hotel in Guangzhou or shipped to where I live (Belgium).
For me the most important aspect of the umbrella is thequality of the materialand thequality of the production. The price and speed are not as important to me. Attached you will find a document of what quality means to me. Please have a good look at the document. In the document you will find the right pantone colours.
Here are the specifications of the umbrella:
- Attached an image which I would like as a sample (see attachment)
- Length of the ribs: 58,5CM (eller 23 tomme)
- 24 ribs made out of fiberglas not metal
- End tips should be dark (see attachment)
- Cover: two colours (see attachment)
- High quality stitching (see attachment)
- Brown handle (see attachment)
- Fabric: waterproof polyamid
- Shaft and handle made out of premium wood (see attachment)
- Manual opening

I will select a manufacturer based on the one that provides the best quality. As said I’m looking for a long term partnership, we are potentially talking about 1000 umbrellas per month in the near future.

Regarding the fabric requirements, please note the following details for your reference:
1. Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ):
- Each color requires a minimum order of 1,000 yards.
2. Shipment Flexibility:
- Orders can be shipped in batches based on your production schedule.
3. Payment Terms:
- Full payment for the fabric must be made upfront.
- Upon each shipment, we will deduct the corresponding fabric cost from the prepaid amount.
- This is the standard procedure followed by our other clients to ensure smooth transactions.

- How many umbrellas can you make out of 1000 værfter?
Sample:
- Could you provide me with the possibilities of the colour of the wood?
- Will the fabric colour be as close as possible to the pantone colours that I sent in the attachment?
- Can you provide me with two samples, one with a light wood colour shaft and crook and one with a darker wood shaft and crook?
- Can the colour of the tip of the umbrella be the colour of the fabric (green)?
Shipping:
- Can you ship the sample to my address in Belgium? I'm ok to pay the shipping price.
General:
Do you in general have an overview of all the parts of the umbrella that can be customized? I would like to be able to see what is possible. F.eks, all the colours of the fabric, colours of the wood, openings, tips,...
I would very much like to create the best qualitative umbrella possible.

I just have a few more questions:
- Is the umbrella in attachment digital printed fabric or dyed fabric?
- Does your manufacturer have dyed fabric in stock? So I can start with a lower quantity?
- Can the samples have the top of the umbrella in a specific color?
- Can the samples have two lines in the handle with a specific colour?
- Can the sample have the logo in the wooden handle?
- Can the sample have the logo on the strap?
Regarding the colours:
Important for the light beige colour for the first two samples. It is not 100% af 482 C, it is 25% af 482 C. You can double check the colour with the CMYK 5 7 12 0 or the HEX f4eee4. Attached you will find a clear visual explanation of what I mean.
It is not possible to judge Pantone colours through an image you have sent me. Every screen is different that is why Pantone colours have been created. So for the light beige and green, it is up to you the match it is best to the pantone colours. This is done with a physical Pantone colour set that has the colour and numbers on them. That way you can best match the colours. I give you the freedom to match the colours in the best way possible.

- We can digitally print the umbrella fabric. Imidlertid, printing is limited to one side only.
Attached is an example image for reference. The left is digital printing, only one side print.
The right is dyed, and both sides have color.
If you can accept the difference , 300 pieces are OK to produce using digital printing.
